Es gibt Folkloremuseen in Polychrono, in Kassandria, in Agia Paraskevi und in Afytos. Es gibt jedoch auch ein ganz besonderes Museum: das Fischereimuseum. Das von der Gemeinde Moudania eingerichtete Fischereimuseum ist das einzige Fischereimuseum in Griechenland, einem Land, in dem die Fischerei eine alte Tradition hat. Das Museum befindet sich in Nea Moudania und wird sowohl von Kindern als auch von Erwachsenen als eine sch\u00f6ne und vollst\u00e4ndig lehrreiche Erfahrung angesehen. Der Zweck des Museums ist es, diesen wichtigen Teil des griechischen Kulturerbes zu unterhalten und zu enth\u00fcllen sowie das \u00f6ffentliche Bewusstsein f\u00fcr das Meeresleben und die Notwendigkeit, es zu unterhalten, zu st\u00e4rken. Das Museum beschr\u00e4nkt sich jedoch nicht nur darauf, das Zeugnis des kollektiven Ged\u00e4chtnisses zu vermitteln, sondern fungiert auch als Kommunikationsmedium in einer lebendigen und dynamischen Umgebung, die den Besucher zur Teilnahme, zum Lernen und zum Genie\u00dfen anzieht und eine Vielzahl von Impulsen bietet. Neben dem Ausstellungsbereich gibt es auch einen Raum f\u00fcr multifunktionale Zwecke (Bildungsaktivit\u00e4ten, Besprechungen usw.) sowie einen Bibliothekslesesaal f\u00fcr Besucher und Forscher, die die Einrichtungen nutzen m\u00f6chten.
